Our Radio Frequency (RF) remote controlled Egglites were designed specifically for illuminating our paper lanterns. They use 3x AAA batteries which are replaceable and can be operated in both "manual on" or in RF mode.
When in RF mode, Egglites can be switched on/off via a remote (available separately), at a max distance of approximately 50m. This is particularly useful when installing lanterns a few days before an event, where it’s difficult to then manually activate the lights on the day of the event/celebration as they are in a difficult to reach location.
Egglite RF's use 4x high power LED’s which have an extra wide disbursement angle and individual diffuser caps for optimum light coverage inside our range of coloured lanterns or when used on their own.
Egglite RF's provide illumination for approximately 10-14 hours (depending on how long they have been left in standby and the quality of batteries installed).
For example, if RF Egglites were installed and set to "remote standby" 3 days prior to an event, they would then provide approximately 11 hours of illumination when switched on. If, however, they were left in "remote standby" for 10 days, they would provide illumination for around 4-6 hours.
The LED’s output a warm white light (2900-3000k) and they come ready to hang inside our lanterns or outside from tree branches. They can also be used on a flat surface on their own or for use in a table standing lantern.
RF Egglites are best suited for use in our paper or nylon lantern range from 12 - 36 inches in diameter. RF Egglites are 11.5cm high and 6cm in width and require 3 x AAA batteries which are not supplied.
A RF Remote is required to switch Egglites on/off (available separately), and a single remote can operate an unlimited number of units.
