Autumn signals the shift from fresh, light shades to warm, spiced tones and weddings traditionally reflect this seasonal change too.
Following on from the bright summer adding antique hues of gold and soft shades of our peach paper lanterns will create an individual look perfect for any vintage loving bride. You could even add the odd lace lantern to highlight any lace detail on your wedding dress.
An emerging theme for autumn weddings is the use of rustic, outdoor details. Hang gold tissue pom poms and ivory wedding lanterns in your wedding marquee but add the odd touch of mauve to represent luscious berries. Or why hang your paper lanterns from branches found on a romantic walk in the woods with your husband-to-be.
As the dark evenings draw in earlier over the coming months use plenty of our LED Buttonlites to provide an ambient glow in your hanging lanterns. You could even add our Candle Flicker Buttonlites to ivory and latte hanging lanterns to give the feeling of relaxation by an open fire without the fire risk!
How to recreate these autumnal paper lantern looks:
- Use a variety of small, medium and large paper lanterns down the centre of your marquee hanging 1 of each size for every metre of marquee. Red, orange and yellow paper lanterns give a bright twist to the traditionally darker autumnal feel but you could add the odd mauve paper lantern here and there to make this look feel warmer.
- For the more creative, hands on bride here is a fabulous way of incorporating natural elements into your wedding – hang our 12” ivory paper lanterns from trees and twigs but stick leaves inside the hanging lanterns so that when they are illuminated with Buttonlites you get an amazing silhouette effect shining through.
- Chocolate brown and softer latte paper lanterns look great against a natural backdrop of exposed wooden beams, or raw corrugated iron typically found on farm buildings. Mix our miniature paper lanterns with large paper lanterns to create a varied look and why not fill your venue with brown lanterns! Be sure to illuminate paper lanterns with our Buttonlites to cast a warm glow over a cold day.
