Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein

Frankenstein was first published nearly 200 years ago in 1818, by a small publishing house in London. Mary Shelley conceived the idea for the novel whilst spending her summer in Geneva, Switzerland.

The BBC’s live adaptation of Frankenstein focuses all of the action on the wedding of Victor and Elizabeth, airing on 19th March 2011.

The ‘wedding’ will take place live in Leeds, at Kirkstall Abbey, featuring Lacey Turner as the bride to be. Guests have even been invited to the ‘wedding’ and have been asked to dress warmly for the winter wedding.

The Hanging Lantern Company has provided a large number of Nylon Chinese lanterns in a range of very bright and vivid colours!
Keep your eyes peeled for our hanging lanterns! We’ll update you with pictures when available :)
