The Sussex Business Awards are now in their 22nd year and The Hanging Lantern Company, based in Ringmer, have submitted their entry!!
Companies, organisations and individuals alike will all be making their entries until the closing date of 27th August, in the hope of getting their hands on one of these highly coveted awards.
Winning a Sussex Business Award really can make a difference to a new, small or unknown business ultimately leading to increased awareness and business activities.
The Hanging Lantern Company has submitted their entry for ‘The Best New Business of the Year’ award to recognise and honour the best new business in Sussex. The award is open to any company based in Sussex that has been trading for at least six months but less than three years - The Hanging Lantern Company was incorporated in September of 2009 and started trading a mere two months later.
We have since supplied paper lanterns for a variety of uses:
• Pink and white paper lanterns in all sizes from 8“ to 20” for Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen, Cornwall. The hanging lanterns were used to decorate a marquee on the beach outside the restaurant for this year’s graduation ceremony for the apprentice chefs.
• 150 of our 20” red, nylon lanterns are currently on TV in ‘Sherlock’ on BBC1 on Sunday nights at 8.30pm.
• We have decorated an entire floor at Selfridges flagship store on Oxford Street, and the main High Street in Lincoln City Centre to support the councils Chinese New Year celebrations.
• We have even manufactured new robin egg blue paper lanterns and peach lanterns for a wedding due to appear in Wedding Magazine in the next few months.
All finalists will be attending the awards ceremony on Thursday 2nd December 2010 at the Grand Hotel Brighton.
Keep posted for more details – who knows, The Hanging Lantern Company may even have the opportunity to decorate the venue with paper hanging lanterns!!
