Roll out the bunting, hang your party lanterns, and get your street party sorted because this June we'll be celebrating the Diamond Jubilee, marking 60 years of the Queen's reign.
Few British monarchs have reigned for over 50 years, only Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II in fact. Elizabeth II came to the throne in February 1952, and her Coronation took place on 2nd June 1953, so, this year an extra bank holiday is scheduled for 5th June, forming part of the extended weekend of celebrations.
In London there will be a Jubilee concert, red, white and blue parties in the parks, and a maritime parade of boats along the Thames. You can celebrate at home too!
A street party is a great way to mark this occasion, and a chance to get together with your neighbours for a knees-up. If you are having a street party why not consider our 4" red, white and blue, party lanterns to hang with bunting.
