Our Nylon Hanging Lanterns debut in Sherlock

  • Our Nylon Hanging Lanterns debut in Sherlock

Our 20 inch nylon Chinese hanging lanterns have just debuted on the BBC!

A three part series is currently showing on BBC1 on Sunday nights at 8.30pm. Some months ago last summer the BBC ordered 150 of our (then) largest Chinese Red nylon lanterns and told us that they were to be used in the new series they were currently filming at the Hartswood Studios, Wales.

Many questions were asked and it was finally established that The Hanging Lantern Company had just provided the Chinese lanterns to feature in episode two, ‘The Blind Banker’, of the three part series.

Sherlock is played by Benedict Cumberbatch and John Watson by Martin Freeman. In The Blind Banker Sherlock and Watson embark on an action-packed and scary, but hugely thrilling adventure to decipher a mysterious symbol. Anyone who sees the symbol is dead within hours!
