The ninth series of the popular ice skating show starts in January 2014 and is set to be the last ever series and the line-up will be made of an all-star cast from the past 8 series.
Dancing on Ice coaches Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean explained that next year is the 30th anniversary of their iconic Bolero skate and gold medal and that everyone wanted to go out on a high.
The line-up for the new series will include both good and bad skaters! Anthea Turner was the 4th celebrity ‘expelled’ from series 8 of Dancing on Ice following School Disco week and a skate off against Keith Chegwin.
In week 1 Anthea and skating partner Andy Buchanan skated to Adele’s Skyfall with a backdrop of our ivory paper lanterns. ITV Studios set up 200 paper lanterns around the George Lucas stage at Elstree Studios - the entire ice rink was decorated with ivory paper lanterns in 8” and 12” diameters.
Ivory lanterns are fantastic at providing softer lighting around TV studios and on film sets and are regularly used with festoon lighting and light cords by ITV, the BBC and Lime Pictures.
