When planning her relaxed, quintessentially English country wedding Elle decided she wanted hanging lanterns and bunting – a friend of hers, who also happens to be a wedding planner, suggested The Hanging Lantern Company and our expert Natalie began to guide Elle step by step through one of our popular hanging lantern images.
Elle said “there wasn't anything in particular that inspired my "look"; I knew what I wanted and searched on Pinterest and in bridal magazines to piece together ideas that matched with what I had in mind. Pinterest and Etsy proved to be gold mines.......and both VERY addictive! I chose soft vintage sage green as the key colour, with lots of blush pinks and creams and just worked everything from there!”
Natalie recommended keeping the irregular ribbed lanterns neutral in colour and would look best in the garden marquee in Elle’s parent’s garden. 75 soft ivory paper lanterns were used in total across a range of small, medium and large sizes with just over half of the lanterns being illuminated by warm white Buttonlites. The overall look was to be similar to a fete but not one with bales of hay or cider!
