“The paper lanterns looked fab on the day! It was one of those little extra things that at the end of all the planning I almost didn't bother with but I'm SO glad my mum pushed me to get them. Our marquee really was a very plain frame built one with a dark green floor which was totally uninspiring! The white and gold lanterns finished it off perfectly!”
Sarah had planned her entire wedding and with only a month left to go the wedding budget was exhausted!
It was actually Sarah’s mum who spotted our hanging lanterns in a magazine and suggested the idea to offer a final touch to the marquee, however, Sarah wasn’t overly sure initially as she thought she had ticked all boxes on her planning list. After browsing through our website Sarah fell in love with the Great Gatsby inspired theme page and felt a scattering of neutral ivory and white paper lanterns would be a subtle and stylish addition to add more detail to a plain marquee.
With the bride to be worried about the budget, a very kind mother of the bride offered to pay for the last minute additions as she knew it would add the final wow factor!
Just 13 of 50 wedding lanterns were antique gold to give a little light and shade to the look and offer a glamourous touch to tie in with the marquee chairs. This complementary colour palette works well together due to its simplicity; neutral and gold shades teamed with white flowers and plenty of natural greenery creates an elegant and luxurious style which will never go out of fashion.
