Coloured Lanterns decorate huge Sperry Tent at Angrove Park

Dan & Becky effortlessly infused elements of a traditional wedding with some modern boho twists to create a truly unique reception based at Angrove Park, North Yorkshire, in one of Papakata’s festival Sperry Tents designed for panoramic views of the countryside. 

Our hanging paper lanterns inject colour and character to a neutral backdrop. Over 100 brightly coloured lanterns in measuring 12”, 16” and 20” in diameter (our standard range of small, medium and large lanterns) were hooked directly onto festoon lighting that was draped from the king poles out to the sides of the marquee. This stunning layout draws the eye upwards and shows of the impressive structure. By day the wedding lanterns acted as colourful decoration but by night the lighting transformed the venue casting coloured hues across the tent creating a party atmosphere.

A festival themed wedding is all about the details and the outside space, so be sure to add an eclectic mixture of decorations to finish the style off, for example, Dan & Becky created a head table backdrop using multi-coloured dreamcatchers and heart shaped bunting, with jam jars, potted plants and wooden crates dotted around the tent. Outside was a bouncy castle, hay bales, live music and a brass band, topped with vintage garden signage to direct the guests around the site. Even the bride and groom enjoyed showing off their playful personalities ... Dan sported a multi-coloured checked tie with a matching handkerchief in his pocket whilst Becky let her hair down for the evening with tustled flowing locks, a floral headpiece and bright red nail varnish and lipstick to finish her styling.
