Self-confessed Pinterest addict Alex, and her Mum Pauline, visited us at the hanging lantern showroom just a month before her wedding to discuss how we could incorporate hanging lanterns and tissue pom poms into a relaxed country wedding.
Looking through Alex’s wedding mood board it quickly became clear she wanted a bright, fun, party atmosphere and loved the effect of clustered paper lanterns and coloured ribbons that could hang from the trees and sway freely in the wind on a beautiful summer’s day.
We worked through a couple of different types of clusters that Alex and Liam could hang in their marquee incorporating pink and ivory lanterns, and spiked fuchsia tissue pom poms. Alex and Pauline loved our new mini pom poms too so we included them in each of the 3 colours to wrap around the napkins at the wedding breakfast.
Alex and Liam got married on 23rd August 2013 and the whole affair looked soft, romantic, relaxed and very inviting!
Alex and Liam did a great job of making the clusters as per the vision, and hung their wedding lanterns down the centre of their white marquee. They even hung some of the different sized paper pom poms in the trees surrounding their outdoor mid-summers wedding ceremony.
Pauline must have been a very proud and emotional Mother of the Bride and thanked us “all your very kind assistance”, Alex simply said “thank you so much for being great!”
