Colourful Hanging Lanterns at The Shack, Gog Magog Hills Farm Shop, in celebration of EAT Cambridge Festival

The Hanging Lantern Company supplied Gog Magog Hills Farm with a mixture of brightly coloured round lanterns to decorate “The Shack” in preparation for the 2015 Eat Cambridge festival.

Gog Magog Hills Farm is a beautiful farm shop and cafe in Cambridge famous for its multi-award winning butchery and its locally sourced deli products. The Farm café has received 10 Great Taste Awards for their delicious traditional menu; mouth-watering giant homemade scones, scrumptious 3 herb sausage rolls and award winning scotch eggs, are among the favourites. The Farm recently added The Shack, a fab scenic eating area that brings the outside in. The Shack has been particularly popular with food and live music events brining foodies and music lovers together in a unique unforgettable environment.

The Farm have sponsored the EAT Cambridge festival year on year and wanted their 2015 foodie event to be just as spectacular. The Farm hosted a stall at the main event at the Corn Exchange, Cambridge, as well as two fringe events on the farm premises. The fringe events consisted of two nights of seasonal suppers cooked by local chef celebrity Jay Scrimshaw, who runs Geruilla Kitchen, in The Shack. The Farm owners wanted to create a cosy comfortable ambience for the guests at the big event.

Gog Magog Hills Farm used a mixture of bold coloured lanterns in a variety sizes to complement the rustic atmosphere of The Shack. The Farm owners hung the paper lanterns at random heights above the wooden picnic tables to create an eye catching feature for diners to enjoy. Teal, Purple and Baby Blue lanterns were used with bursts of Orange and Dark Yellow, creating a lively lantern canopy bringing warmth to the dark walls of The Shack. Fairy lights, velvet curtains and snuggle blankets completed the look creating a cosy homely feel for the supper club events.
