ITVs Emmerdale Summer Wedding Lanterns

August 2015 saw the big summer storyline unfold in Emmerdale – Debbie Dingle said “I do” to Pete Barton following a secretive affair with his brother!

The wedding scene was decorated with 150 of our medium sized pastel paper hanging lanterns; a selection of 12”, 14” and 16” lanterns were hung at varying heights throughout. Paper lanterns in ivory, pink, robin egg, light yellow and baby blue were suspended from the Village Hall ceiling with discrete transparent fishing line. Pastel coloured lanterns are always popular at weddings during the summer months as the mix of colours create a pretty effect and complement seasonal flowers so often used in brides bouquets.

Debbie’s wedding venue looked absolutely stunning before disaster struck. Unfortunately the helicopter Pete had booked for a romantic flight following their nuptials crashed into the heart of Emmerdale. The belly of the helicopter sent paper lanterns, tables and chairs and guests flying in all directions resulting in chaos and a number of deaths in the village.
