“To mark the 700th anniversary of the momentous 2-day battle of Bannockburn, site owners the National Trust for Scotland held a commemorative event at midnight on 23rd June 2014.
The NTS were looking for illuminated Chinese lanterns for over 100 individual guests to guide a procession from the state-of-the-art new visitor centre out to the historic monuments at the site.
It was important that there were no naked flames near the historic monuments, and that the lights used were subtle and sensitive for the commemoration.
The Hanging Lantern Company were extremely helpful in selecting the perfect paper lanterns and LED Buttonlites for the event. Each individual guest was provided with a pre-made lantern to help guide their way in the procession, and to take home as a memento.“
