Tony - RMHC Gala Dinner
RMHC held their annual Gala Dinner in the historic, Old Billingsgate, London.
The 8th RMHC Gala Dinner saw 800 people, including Andrew Castle and Julie Peasgood, attend and support the event. There were live auctions and silent auctions to raise funds for the charity, and prizes up for grabs included tickets to Wimbledon and lunch with girl band The Saturdays.
£160,000 was raised at the Ronald McDonald House Charities Gala Dinner, which will go towards supporting and building Ronald McDonald houses around the UK. The charity provides accommodation for children and their families during times of need such as when a child is in hospital some distance away from home. The aim is to allow the families to maintain a sense of ‘normality’ during difficult times.
An oriental theme was adopted to decorate Old Billingsgate, London; the walls were adorned with traditional Chinese cherry blossom murals, Chinese characters, and our Chinese hanging lanterns were a feature in the middle of the venue.
Our crepe paper square Chinese lanterns were used with our cube LED lights as table centre-pieces. Table numbers were pinned to the Chinese lanterns and complement the Chinese themed menus.
White Chinese lanterns in various sizes (round, even patterned, 12”, 18”, 24” and 36”) were suspended at random lengths from the arched ceiling using individual light cords. 16” oval lanterns were mixed in with the round paper lanterns to add a bit of variety.
