“I’m so glad we used the round paper lanterns as it really made the space so special!”

Laurie and Elisabeth married in summer 2014 at their local village hall in Surrey. As the venue is a real ‘blank canvas’ the couple wanted to infuse bursts of colour to brighten the room yet still keep an elegant, wild country affair. They decided on a combination of pastel shades including lavender, peach and blue lanterns with the odd bolder tone (purple and lime green) mixed in to complement their flowers.

Wanting to create the whimsical floating effect Laurie and his team of workmen suspended a collection of different sized lanterns, ranging from small 8” round lanterns to 18” in diameter using clear fishing wire. 

Elisabeth, a knitwear designer, showed off her creative talent by knitting her own wedding dress! What a wonderfully unique wedding!
