Geoff and Victorias Boho Wedding Lanterns at Rookwood House

“The lanterns looked absolutely beautiful and really added character to our marquee!”

Geoff and Vikki wed at a gloriously sunny outdoor ceremony in the gardens of Rookwood House followed by a marquee reception full of colour and life. 

With coloured ribbons draping the walls and wild flowers scattered along the trestle tables in tin cans and eclectic beer bottles the marquee already looked quite busy so the happy couple decided to concentrate their round paper lanterns along the central ridge of the marquee to add a splash of colour and texture to complete the desired look. 

With a very relaxed, English garden vibe, demonstrated by the brides floral head piece, Vikki knew that coloured lanterns would be ideal to continue her quirky boho style. The ceiling display consisted of mostly 30” large lanterns, suspended at different heights to create dramatic impact, with some smaller 16” round lanterns intertwined to create the texture of a waterfall. A few clusters of lanterns were positioned around the outside of the marquee to add a unique twist. 

Vikki and Geoff tied in the colours of their wedding lanterns, in light yellow, peach and pink, with their bunting, ribbons, flowers and dresses.
